Now traditional Odia food can be tasted at Bhubaneswar Airport

The Bhubaneswar Airport authorities are soon coming up with an array of authentic traditional Odia food that can be tasted or carried home from a special outlet at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA).

Starting from variety of Pithas (pancakes) to sweet dishes like Manda and Kakara an elaborate and delicious menu of typical Odia delicacies will be made available at the outlet.

The new food and beverage outlet at the Terminal-1 of the airport will serve a rich range of culinary heritage of Odisha. Director of BPIA, Suresh Chandra Hota informed that the construction work of the outlet is being expedited to get it ready before Raja so that people can savour authentic Odia food here.

He also said that it is more important that people who do not belong to Odisha should get to know the food habit and culture of the State. It will serve only vegetarian food.

Named as ‘Zambar – flavours of the South’, the outlet will serve a veg thali meal for Rs 80 and a tea cup for Rs 5 in its menu which is a good news for travellers looking for affordable food options at the Bhubaneswar airport.
