Website for last rite services starts in Smart City Bhubaneswar

A website has been launched on Friday offering last rites-related services to the denizens of Smart City Bhubaneswar.

The portal (http://www.swargadwara.com/) offers a comprehensive package beginning from funeral ceremony to the 14th day rituals related to it.

Inaugurating the website at a hotel in Bhubaneswar, BMC Mayor Ananta Narayana Jena said, “It is the need of the hour and will be added to the smart city project for benefit of Bhubaneswarites.”

“Joint family system is obsolete now in society. Children are interested in living separately. In coming days, a situation will arise when it will be difficult to gather associates to perform the last rites and at that time swargadwara.com will come to help,” said Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, editor, The Sambad.

The services has been currently available in the smart city Bhubaneswar. The services will be rolled out to Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Angul, Berhampur soon. In subsequent phases, it will go outside Odisha.
