Oriya films in this Durga Puja 2013

Movie buffs would have plenty of options this festive season, which is a little over a month away. As many as four films are lined up for a release during the Puja. Get the details here.

Kehi Jane Bhala Lagere – The hit pair of Odia films Anubhav and Barsha will come together again for Kehi Jana Bhala Lagere. The film is a pure romantic film under Anubhav’s home production Ashutosh Films. “Puja is all about revelry, fun and frolic. People go to watch movies with friends and relatives and the film is made for family viewing with lots of entertainment,” said Anubhav.

Akhire Akhire – The lead actors in the film are Babushan and Bong-beauty Jhilik. Busy shooting his upcoming film Akhire Akhire, director Susant Mani said, “This is an action, romantic comedy. For the first time, I am working on a trendy, modern comedy where the presentation style is the key strength of my film. For the first time, I worked with actors like Sidhant Mahapatra, who is playing a negative role. And I am quite confident that I won’t disappoint my viewers.”

Mu Raja Tu Rani – “In all my films I try to give something new. Mu Raja Tu Rani is a love story of a criminal and a lady cop. It’s an out-and-out masala movie with all ingredients of entertainment,” said director of the film Sidhansu Sahu. Arindam will play the lead role in the film opposite new comer Sambhabana.

Tu Mo Dehara Chhai – Directed by Chandi Parija Tu Mo Dehara Chhai will release on Dussehra with Amlan and Riya donning the lead roles.
