Shradhanjali to Showman of Ollywood Basant Nayak

Orissa Cultural Department and Odisha Cine Critic Association arranged a shradhanjali (obituary) function for showman of ollywood late Basant Nayak on saturday at Suchana Bhawan. Main guest of the function was Cultural Minister Prafulla Samal. MP and renowned oriya actor Siddhant Mohapatra inaugurated the ceremony.

Other dignitaries present in the function are Prasant Nanda, Munna Khan, Pradosh Pattnaik, Ashok Panda, Uttam Mohanty, Ranjit Patnaik and Bijay Mishra. Bapu Lenka showed a short documentary film made by him for the Raj Kapoor of ollywood. Basant Nayak was awarded Jayadev Samman by state government for his invaluable contributions to oriya film industry, an incredible journey that begins from Jajabara to 143 I Love You. Brajaraj Movies is his production house.
