Much to the delight of music lovers, the audio CD of contemporary Oriya songs, ‘Bhinna Rutu’ was released at Lohia Academy, Sunday. The music is composed by Raghunath Patra and debutant Jitendra Patnaik has lent his voice to the songs. Legendary singer, Pranab Patnaik graced the occasion as chief guest. Also present on the occasion was Dhanada Mishra, eminent social worker.
The CD has some soft numbers like ‘Mu Janena’, ‘Ete Besi Bhalapaye’, ‘Aei Hrudayare’ and others. Jitendra Patnaik, a college professor has acquired training in Hindustani and Odissi vocals.
“Bhinna Rutu means a different season which can be season of love, magic, thrill or longing,” said Jitendra who had an inclination towards music from childhood.
