Bhubaneswar to have World-Class Streets

Bhubaneswar streets may soon look like the tree-lined boulevards of many western countries. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is mulling beautification of major roads by planting trees on the isdes, landscaping the central medians and setting up water cascades.

The decision was taken after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday directed Municipal Commissioner to develop world-class corridors in Bhubaneswar on the lines of foreign countries. Three prominent stretches have been selected for the purpose. They are airport new terminal road to AG square, Rajbhawan to Patia and Acharya Vihar to Sainik School.
