The programmes, which are dubbed, revised, copied or remakes of a TV serial or telefilm, will not be eligible for the awards. For individual categories, the artists’ voice should not have been dubbed.
“Of late, the television industry in the state has increased manifold. A number of regional television channels have come up and telecast several entertainment programmes like megaserials, telefilms, reality shows and so on providing employment to a large number of people and talents. The awards will encourage artistes,” said secretary of Odisha Cine Artists’ Association Kuna Tripathy.
“In Odisha, many artistes are working both in films and television. The award will encourage them to carry on their good work,” Tripathy added.
