Orissa Development Authority Act 1982

The Orissa Development Authorities Act 1982 received the assent of the President on 6th August 1982. It was first published in an extraordinary issue of the Orissa Gazette on August 17, 1982. It is the Orissa Act 14 of 1982.

It is an act to regulate development of urban and rural parts of the state of Orissa according to plan. The Orissa Development Authority Act was enacted by the Legislature of the state of Orissa in the thirty-third year of the Republic of India, as follows –

(1) This Act may be called the Orissa Development Authorities Act, 1982.

(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Orissa.

(3) It shall come into force on such date and in such area or areas as the State Government may be notification appoint and different dates may be appointed in respect of different areas.
