Foreign Players in Orissa Football Clubs

Orissa Football News : Now in India, all football clubs are hiring foreign players for their tournaments. Orissa is also following this mania from 2009. Football Association of Orissa (FAO) gave permission for this to all clubs in Odisha. According to Abhijit Pal,  joint secretary of FAO – after bringing these foreign players in FAO league, number of spectators increased in stadiums. FAO also hosting South Asian Football Championship this December in Cuttack after 12 years. From this year, FAO is going to make a new tournament as FAO Women’s League with oriya women football players. Now there are fourteen foreign players playing from orissa football clubs. The clubs are Rising Student, Azad Hind, Bidanashi, Radha Govind, Kishore Club and Chand. Most of the  players are from Nigeria.
