Times Bhubaneswar Festival from March 21
The Times Bhubaneswar Festival is all set to rock Bhubaneswar with a unique blend of shows comprising power-packed performances of dance, music and theatre.
The four-day fiesta, starting March 21, is an initiative by The Times of India to enrich the city’s cultural fabric by organizing performances of renowned artists.
The festival will kick-start with a performance by popular music group ‘Euphoria’ at the open air amphitheatre of Utkal Mandap. Fans are really looking forward to listen to their favourite hits of the band like ‘Maaeri’, ‘Aana Meri Gully’, ‘Dhoom Pichak Dhoom’ and more.
The musical journey will continue with the melodious performance of popular Bollywood singer Abhijeet at Janata Maidan on March 22.
Theatre enthusiasts can enjoy the highly acclaimed play in English ‘The Bureaucrat’ directed by Rahul da Cunha at Rabindra Mandap on March 23. The play is a political satire, in the spirit of ‘Yes Prime Minister’ meets ‘Aap Ki Adalat’.
The festival also plays host to an array of cookery events on March 21 and 22. At Mainland China top chefs will dish out lessons in Chinese cuisine on Thursday. For lessons on whipping up a sumptuous Odia meal, denizens need to look out for a culinary class scheduled for March 22 at Swosti Premium.
March 23 features an art exhibition titled ‘Water’ at KIIT University along with a Public Wall Art session at Satyanagar.
The festival is slated to conclude with a soul stirring Sufi music performance by Sabri Brothers at Bhubaneswar Club on March 24.
