Mithi started her career with Sarthak Music’s music video in 2002. After that she has done many album music videos, tele serials, ads, modeling and anchoring. Her debut movie was ‘Jeevan Mrutyu’ in the direction of Raju Mishra released in 2005. After that she took a break of three years for her graduation and returned with the movie ‘Chhati Chiri Dele Tu’ with Anubhav and Sidhant in 2008.

Lipsa Satpathy or Mithi was born and brought up in Dhenkanal. She belongs to a Hindu Brahmin family and her father C.D. Satpathy is a bank manager. Her mother Jyostna Satpathy is house-wife. Mithi has completed her intermediate from Ravenshaw College. Then she got admission at IITTM where she graduated with a Tourism Degree. She has achieved a Gold Medal in her graduation, for which she had been feliciated by Ministry of Tourism, New Delhi. She also got a Post-Graduate Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
