‘ACP Ranveer’ was much awaited because of the two big names – Anubhav Mohanty and Pradeep Rawat. Sudhakar Basant has been known for making successful comedy-action-romantic films, while Anubhav’s movies stood out for his trademark stylish acting, glamour and breathtaking action sequences. Sudhakar uses Anubhav’s style and presence well in ‘ACP Ranveer’.

Within a few minutes of the film, you will realise that it is an out and out Anubhav’s film. The story may be formulaic, but there is enough space for entertaining elements. Though the writer has failed to give a credible story and script, artists and technicians make up for it and take the film to a newer height. Music, Graphics, Action, Costumes, Background score are of Bollywood level. It is the best Odia film technically till date.

Pradeep Rawat (Salim Langda) has given a strong performance. For the first time, a bollywood actor is properly used in an odia film. Heroine Akanksha Choudary (Naina) has done a decent job. She is not looking as charming as Barsha.

First song of the film features all odia directors like, Ashok Pati, Sanjay Nayak, Hara Patnaik, Chandi Parija, Appu Kanungo, Sudhansu Sahoo with actress Akanksha. Best song of the movie – ‘Soniyo Mu Heli To Deewana’ is a treat for odia audience – nicely shot and edited number. Third song is Veer Pila where many ollywood actors and actresses are featured with Anubhav. Bijay Mohanty and Susant Mani are in guest appearances.

On the whole, ACP Ranveer is a treat for Anubhav’s fans. But others can also enjoy this film for its entertaining elements and Anubhav’s powerful presence.
