Ollywood celebs collect funds for Phailin victims

Odia Film Industry came together to help Phailin victims. Ollywood celebrities raised 1.5 lakh fund till now by roaming around lanes of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. They have performed in many spots and begged people for monetary help to the relief fund.

Superstar Anubhav Mohanty, Sritam Das, Deepak, Mihir Das, music director Abhijit Majumdar, lyricist Arun Mantri, singer Bishnu Mohan Kabi, dialogue writer Bijay Malla and others participated for the noble cause.

All are trying to raise minimum 3-5 lakhs for the cause. Then an Ollywood representative team will visit Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and donate it to CM Relief Fund.

Everyone has lauded the initiative. They said, “We are happy that the industry has come forward to help. Each and every contribution will help the people of our state rebuild their lives.”

Some said, “We are glad that Ollywood has taken up this cause. But we don’t like when people say that celebrities should come forward to help. We feel every Odia should take part in such initiatives. Also, one needs to make sure that relief reaches the right people.”
