3000 Odissi Dancers will perform on one Stage to make World Record

Three thousand (3000) odissi dancers are going to perform on one stage to make a world record. This will be the largest group dance ever. Government of Orissa is trying to make this effort register in Guinness World Records. International Odissi dance festival will be held in Bhubaneswar on December 23, 2011. The inauguration of the festival will make this world record with 3000 odissi dancers.

The venue is Kalinga Stadium. President Pratibha Patil invited to this festival. This festival is arranged by IPAP of America, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Organisation, Cultural Department of State, State Tourism Department. The festival will start from 23rd December and end on 30th. In this dance festival 500 dancers from 20 countries will participate.
