Best School in Orissa is DAV Public School Chandrasekharpur

C-Fore, a private research firm conducted a nationwide survey on behalf of Education World recently. The DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, was adjudged the best school in Odisha from the final result. Around 400 reputed primary and secondary schools were surveyed and opinions of independent educationists, principals, teachers and parents were taken into consideration.

DAV Chandrasekharpur scored 1,129 marks in total. Around 14 parameters were taken into account to judge the school’s performance. The parameters included academic excellence, teachers’ welfare and development, competence of faculty, academic reputation, co-curricular activities, sports education, individual attention to each and every student and value for money.

This year, the zonal ranking system was replaced with city and state-based ranking system to bring about clarity in the results. DAV School Chandrasekharpur had bagged the first place last year in 2011 as well.

Education World is steered by leading corporate honchos and educationists like N R Narayan Murthy of Infosys, Adi Godrej, Ramdas Pai and N R Ramaswamy. DPS Kalinga was ranked 17 and KIIT International School 20 in the Eastern Zone.
