Earlier, Ministry of Human Resource Development had directed department for opening a dedicated web portal for placements.

The portal apart, DHE has asked principals of all colleges to begin work on setting up dedicated placement cells. So far, just a few universities and degree colleges offer assistance to students in getting jobs through placement drive.

An official said all the higher education institutions will allow Monster to use their placement cells. They will set up their computer terminals and other equipment for registration works. The institutions will nominate a student representative from each department/class who would collect resumes from students and submit them with the service provider.
