Bhubaneswar-Cuttack traffic updates on BBSR-CTC Police App
Commuters in the twin cities (Bhubaneswar and Cuttack) will now get traffic alerts on their mobile phones with the commissionerate police adding the feature to its mobile app – BBSR-CTC Police.
The Commissionerate Police App has included a host of new features including the PUSH notification system which will enable real time flow of various important information for benefit of common citizens. GPS-aided traffic flow information with notifications on traffic density, snarls, diversions and suggestions to commuters across the Twin City is a major addition.

Information technology minister Pranab Prakash Das on Thursday launched the advanced version of the app in the presence of DGP K B Singh and commissioner of police R P Sharma.
The upgraded app will also be helpful to prepaid auto-rickshaw passengers as the tariff for travelling in the twin cities has been uploaded.
The App users will get time to time live notifications on their mobile phones. It will also inform law and order issues to the users while also promoting public awareness on many issues along with crime prevention.
The BBSR-CTC Police app was launched on January 15 this year. So far, nearly 7,000 people in the twin cities have downloaded the app.

A video CD documenting CCTV recordings of road accidents at different intersections in Bhubaneswar was also released on the occasion as a measure to generate public awareness on the cause and type of accidents.
