Sambalpuri music video actress Simran Singh found dead in Sambalpur

In a shocking incident, the mutilated body of a Sambalpuri music video actress Simran Singh was found under Mahanadi bridge near Goira Matha in Sambalpur today morning.

Simran Singh had acted in several Sambalpuri music video albums and was quite popular in western parts of Odisha. Some of her popular music videos include ‘Selfie Bebo’, ‘Rimjhim Pani Barsu Thila’, ‘Rickshawala’ and others.

The locals spotted the body this morning and informed the police. The body was lying with multiple injury marks on head and face. A leather bag was also found near the body.

Receiving information from the locals, the Burla police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Though the exact cause behind the death of Simran is yet to be ascertained, initial reports suggested it as ‘murder’.

While mystery shrouded Simran’s death, her family members, meanwhile, alleged that she has been murdered by some miscreants. They demanded a fair investigation into the matter.
