The first set of collection was designed by renowned designer Dolly Parekh, who, keeping in view the rising demand of Indian heritage, tried to give a style statement to the traditional Pattachitra work of Odisha.
Her collection termed ‘Krishna Leela’ had a blend of zari works Sarees, kurtas and western gowns, fused beautifully with age old Pattachitra work. “I have used zari work to highlight the design and I would love make Pattachitra design popular across the country too,” said the designer Dolly Parekh after the show.
Transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathy was the show stopper for Parekh’s collection, who wore a tussar saree with Krishna’s Pattachitra print, while Big Boss participant Vivek Mishra also walked on the ramp for the designer.
The fashion show also executed Indo-western designs of Aniket Mishra. Model-actress Zoya Afroz awed the audience with her style and attitude wearing Indo-western bridal costume.
