Manini Mishra from Odisha is a popular art director in Bollywood now.
This 26-year-old Odia girl first started her career as an assistant art director in Hindi films – The Dirty Picture and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara.
After that Manini worked with director Imtiaz Ali in ‘Highway’ and recent project ‘Tamasha’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.

“Those who want to make a career in art direction must have a sense of aesthetics and be particular about space and placement of objects. There must be proper coordination with other departments like photography, costume designing and script writing,” said Manini Mishra.
“I would love to work in the Odia film industry. There is a lot of freedom in Hindi films and I feel it is necessary for my creative juice to flow. I am still learning and want to make a place for myself and my state in Bollywood,” she added.
At present, she is working on a film under the Yash Raj banner in which Hrithik Roshan is in the lead.
