Mass marriage in Odisha on birth anniversary of Ambedkar
Dr Ambedkar Charitable Trust organized a mass marriage ceremony for couples who could not afford their weddings for being financially distressed in Odisha.
To mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a mass marriage ceremony cited as “Adarsha Gana Bibaha” was organised in Bargarh district.
Nearly 22 pairs of brides and grooms participated in the marriage ceremony, said sources.
The mass marriage is organised every year in the Bargarh district since the year 2007, paying homage to the father of Constitution of India, Babasaheb Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.
