Odia visual effects artist worked in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ movie

The much awaited Hollywood movie ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ released on April 27. As of April 29, It has grossed a worldwide total of $630 million, which is the biggest of all time.

Deepak Panigrahi, a visual effects compositor from Odisha, has created special effects for some scenes of the Hollywood blockbuster. The 28-year-old boy hails from Nischintapur, Soro Tehsil in Balasore.

“Getting an opportunity to be a part of movie like ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is the best thing to have happened in my life so far. Seeing my name appear in the credit section makes me happy,” said an excited Deepak.

Explaining about the work he was involved in, Deepak said, around 11 companies were assigned for the visual effects work. “We did the scenes involving Vision, one of the superheroes who sacrifices himself. It used to take more than 20 days to complete a few seconds shot.”

Settled in Mumbai since 2011, his initial days in the city were filled with struggle. Though he found it difficult to get good opportunities, his dedication to become a visual compositor kept him motivated. He now works for the company Double Negative.
