Odisha girl wins ‘Miss Tourism Ambassador Universe Teen 2018’ title

Bringing laurels for the state and the country, Odisha girl Lavanya Das has won the ‘Miss Teen Universe’ title. She won the title during Mister & Miss Tourism Ambassador Universe 2018 held in Malaysia.

With as many as 35 contestants from 25 countries, Lavanya bagged the title with her performance in the talent rounds, self-introduction round, interviews, casual wear walks, evening gown round and the national costume category.

Lavanya, a student of DAV School at Unit 8 in Bhubaneswar, promoted Indian culture and tourism as well as Odisha’s rich culture and tourism during the competition in Malaysia.

Lavanya, who is a professional model, had won the Pre-teen Junior Model International title at beauty pageant in Kerala last year.

Sharing her future plans, Lavanya’s mother Lipika Das said, “She is an extraordinary student and always comes in Top 20 scorers of her school. She aspires to be an IAS officer. She likes modeling, so she will continue to pursue the pageant world as hobby but her main focus is on IAS. We are extremely proud of her.”
